The Roots EV RT-G-A8W is a purpose-built hospital electric patient buggy designed specifically for the unique mobility demands of medical facilities. It seats 8 passengers and accommodates one wheelchair user, making it ideal for patient transport across large hospital campuses, multi-building medical complexes, and healthcare institutions. Powered by a 5kW MAHLE 3-phase AC induction motor with a 48V–350A controller, the RT-G-A8W delivers smooth, silent operation — an essential requirement in clinical environments where noise can disturb patients and medical staff. The electric drivetrain produces zero tailpipe emissions, making it safe for both indoor floor navigation and outdoor hospital grounds. Patient safety is built into every aspect of this vehicle. Specialized patient-securing attachments hold wheelchairs and medical equipment safely during transit. The double wishbone front suspension with dual-rate mono shock absorbers ensures a smooth, jolt-free ride essential for patient comfort. The automatic electronic parking brake prevents unintended movement on slopes within hospital campuses. Hydraulic disc brakes at the front and self-adjusting hydraulic drum brakes at the rear provide reliable stopping performance.
